Discover One Last Taco

Walking into One Last Taco feels like that moment when a late-night craving turns into something memorable. The spot sits at 200 Tanger Outlets Blvd Space 811, Pooler, GA 31322, United States, which makes it an easy stop whether you’re shopping nearby or just passing through town. I’ve eaten my way through plenty of taco counters and casual diners over the years, and this one stands out for how relaxed it feels while still taking the food seriously.

The menu keeps things focused, which is usually a good sign. Instead of overwhelming you with endless options, it leans into classic street-style tacos, loaded quesadillas, and comforting sides. On my last visit, I watched the kitchen prep fresh tortillas while meat hit the grill, and that process alone sets expectations high. Research from the National Restaurant Association shows that diners increasingly value transparency and freshness, and you can actually see that philosophy in action here. The al pastor taco comes with juicy pork, pineapple, and a balance of sweet and smoky flavors that feels intentional rather than rushed. The birria tacos, dipped and crisped, are messy in the best way, and they pair perfectly with a side of consommé that tastes like it’s been simmered with care.

What really impressed me was consistency. I came back on a different day, different time, and ordered the same taco combo. The flavor held up, which is something food reviewers often look for when judging a place fairly. According to food quality studies shared by organizations like the James Beard Foundation, consistency is one of the strongest indicators of a well-run kitchen. That principle seems baked into how this diner operates. Even the rice and beans, which are easy to overlook, had seasoning and texture that showed attention to detail.

The atmosphere stays casual, almost inviting you to slow down and enjoy your meal. Families, outlet shoppers, and locals mix easily, and the staff keeps the pace friendly without hovering. I overheard another customer say the place was best tacos in the area, and while that’s subjective, it aligns with many reviews you’ll find from regulars who come back weekly. Reviews often mention quick service and generous portions, which matches my own experience every time I’ve ordered.

From a food safety and preparation standpoint, the kitchen follows practices you’d expect from a responsible restaurant. The USDA recommends cooking meats like beef and pork to safe internal temperatures, and the grilling methods here clearly achieve that without drying anything out. It’s comforting to know you’re getting food that’s both flavorful and properly handled.

There are a few limitations worth noting. Seating can fill up fast during peak shopping hours, and the menu doesn’t try to cater to every dietary preference. Still, that focus seems intentional, and it allows the kitchen to execute its core offerings well. For a taco diner built around simple ingredients, strong flavors, and a welcoming vibe, this location delivers an experience that feels honest and repeatable, the kind of place you remember when the craving hits again.

  • One Last Taco has so.e of the best tacos I have eaten in a while. I went in on a Tuesday evening around 6:15 P.M. and the service was great. The menu selection was quite extensive for a smaller taco shop. The food took only minutes to get to our table and was very tasteful. The meal I ordered was 3 ground beef soft tacos that hade lettuce, tomatoes and cheese on them. The meal came with a side of either Mexican rice or refried beans. The shop also has a salsa bar with about 6 to 7 different slasas. Overall the prices were mostly reasonable. The chips with cheese dip was a tad pricey for what it was but with lots of cheese. This place is a definite revisit restaurant that I would highly recommend to any and all taco/Mexican food lovers.

  • Delicious lunch!!! We recently moved to SC and haven't found a "taco stop" that has the spice and flavor we experienced in Southern California, let alone the Bluffton / Hilton Head area. I hope we will find it, but as of yet, we haven't found it - but OH, this place is remarkably close to what we are used to! We were shopping in Pooler and stumbled upon this wonderful restaurant. Clean, great decor, friendly staff! No bland, flavorless, lack-lustre food. Our lunch was full of great food with options as to sauces and toppings.. the consistency of the cheese Enchilada, the crunch of the hard taco (why is it so hard to find a hard taco outside of Taco Bell??) The flavor added to the crazy-great refried beans!! That "dry" chewey perfect rice (sigh). A great experience. Please open another location in Bluffton! We'll be back!

  • I was really craving Mexican food and this definitely helped my craving I went with the steak fajita nachos and my daughter went with the chicken. They were both delicious however, my daughter’s chicken was missing a little bit of flavor. It could’ve been seasoned a little better. We also decided to get a birria taco and $5 for 1 taco is a bit excessive. Yes they give you a side of consommé, however, that’s doesn’t suffice the price. The meat was a bit dry…I just did not really enjoy it. Overall, the customer service was great and we enjoyed our meal.

  • Staff was so friendly and polite. But let me tell you about this FOOD!!! OMG, the smells, the flavor, serving size... EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING. A nice change from other fast food places. A little pricey, but totally worth it. And it's family owned. If you're ever in the area and craving Mexican food, please come here!!! Definitely coming back.

  • Absolutely blown away by this new restaurant!! The food was incredible, the service was above and beyond, and the price was great! Highly recommend the Birria tacos and tacos Al pastor. And don’t forget the Mexican street corn! 10/10 definitely eating here again!

  • While shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Pooler, we stumbled upon One Last Taco for a quick Sunday lunch. We sampled a variety of tacos - steak, carnitas, chicken, and ground beef - and found them to be flavorful, although we could have used a bit more on our plates. The chips and queso were okay, but the queso had a soupier consistency than we prefer. Overall, it was a decent spot for a casual bite, but not somewhere we'd go out of our way for.
